O conceito de radicalização

Resumo

As questões em torno da radicalização e contra radicalização constituem um fator de grande relevância nas agendas governamentais ocidentais. Nesse sentido os termos “radicalismo”, “extremismo” y “terrorismo” respondem a realidades que devem ser plenamente diferenciadas.A operatividade do desenho e posterior aplicação de políticas públicas preventivas e ativas em matéria de segurança requerem partir de uma correta distinção e definição dos diferentes fenômenos existentes. A isto se orienta o objetivo central deste artigo. Pretende-se realizar uma clarificação conceitual, e distinguir o: “radicalismo”, “extremismo”, extremismo ativista”, “extremismo ativista violento” e “terrorismo”.
