Towards a Presidential Armor

Abstract

This article is a review of a new phenomenon of concentration of powers around the Executive State. Thus, it has evolved from a classic presidential system to a sui generis way to set up the executive branch with a number of powers that make approaching a presidential hegemony within the state. That, under protection discourse is justified to point out that there is a Latin American crisis of the presidential system, also guided by the same renewal of a world economic order with highest power in the political and social spheres. Thus the post or hyper-presidentialism, is based on the delivery of enhanced, strategic and decisive the president of the State powers. Then, in the case of Ecuador it sits from the constitutional auspices, from which you can notice the presence of faculties showing a powerful president who not only endangers the balance of power, but also the democracy, the Republican configuration and the rule of law.
