Abordagens Criminológicas Feministas

A criminologia, desde a sua consolidação como ciência social, tem sido apresentada como uma ordem racional e objetiva desenvolvida por pessoas neutras em termos de género; enquanto, ao mesmo tempo, seu foco foi direcionado a partir de uma perspectiva masculina. Em resposta, as diversas correntes críticas e, especialmente, a perspectiva feminista, têm criticado fortemente esta predisposição androcêntrica da criminologia tradicional; isto é, o privilégio das experiências e perspectivas dos homens em relação ao conhecimento empírico e teórico produzido sobre o crime. Essencialmente, a criminologia com abordagem feminista tem mostrado que o crime e a vitimização têm género, etnia e são condicionados pela heterogeneidade das normas. Essa abordagem tem fornecido às instituições públicas aportes teóricos próximos da realidade, o que, por sua vez, permite um melhor desenho de políticas públicas focadas no fenômeno criminal.
